Peter, Did you run 'make install'? If not then the new squidGuard could never get put in a path directory. Do a 'whereis squidGuard' to see if there are more than one. Thanks for running the tests for me. This is now over my head so I will have to dig into it. I'm going to pass on your test results to my squidguard contact who will probably get the expressions developer involved. I will let you know when we have a fix. Thanks again, Mark

Okay, I solved it. Seems that new squidguard sits somewhere in path now, so that /usr/bin/update/squidguard script runs the new one. I have edited the script, put the full path to distributional squidguard there and it works now. However, it shouldn't happen I think. Peter
