Unfortunately, it's not as simple as a rebuild. I have packages -- a new upstream, no less -- built against the new apt, but they have nasty interactions with the new automarking code. (the effect is that startup on my >1Ghz system goes from about 3 seconds to about 10 minutes) I think I know what the problem is and how to fix it, but it might be a few days before I have time to implement my fix.
