I've had the lame and ffmpeg and the www.debian-multimedia.org repos installed. And the thing is, I want ffmpeg and lame so that I can rip movies to my hard drive - disabling those features would defeat the purpose of using k3b 1.0.1
I installed it, as root, the way you said was the easy way. It created .DEB files and I installed them. The program works, but not the ripping movie feature - Im not surprised about that. Is there no way to the Lame and FFMPEG headers to get the ripping function working?
