Yuck. It is not the regular SASL problems I know of, then. This is *way* too weird. Cyrus doesn't use abort(), AFAIK. It never dies with signal 6 due to normal *or* normally abnormal :p operation. You may want to grep the libsasl, nscd and openldap sources for abort().
