Hi,
This morning after the start of the machine the sound worked again. So I
guess this problem is not a problem anymore.
Here is the output of lsmod:
snd_intel8x0 32060 0
snd_intel8x0m 16716 0
snd_ac97_codec 92356 2 snd_intel8x0,snd_intel8x0m
ac97_bus 2272 1 snd_ac97_codec
snd_pcm_oss 39168 0
snd_mixer_oss 15328 1 snd_pcm_oss
snd_pcm 71940 4
snd_intel8x0,snd_intel8x0m,snd_ac97_codec,snd_pcm_oss
snd_timer 20868 1 snd_pcm
snd 48132 7
snd_intel8x0,snd_intel8x0m,snd_ac97_codec,snd_pcm_oss,snd_mixer_oss,snd_pcm,snd_timer
soundcore 7424 1 snd
snd_page_alloc 9512 3 snd_intel8x0,snd_intel8x0m,snd_pcm
Everything is fine again
Thank you

Justification: renders package unusable
Hi, since the last upgrade to 1.0.14-1 no application plays sounds
anymore.
I tried alsaconf but it does not load any driver.
My card is correctly detected as Intel Corporation 82801DB/DBL/DBM
but at the end of the alsaconf procedure I get:
Running update-modules...
Loading driver...
Usage: /etc/init.d/alsa
{unload|reload|force-unload|force-reload|suspend|resume}
Setting default volumes...
amixer: Mixer attach default error: No such device
Saving the mixer setup used for this in /var/lib/alsa/asound.state.
/usr/sbin/alsactl: save_state:1253: No soundcards found...
After installing libasound2 1.0.14 please do as root:
# /etc/init.d/alsa reload
and send the output of
# lsmod | grep snd
