The Composite extension is still not loaded by default. If there is no 'Option "Composite" "Enable"' line in xorg.conf then it does not load.
I think this is expected. However, it does load if that line is present, which is better than what
it used to do.
This is expected too. What was not expected was that composite was not loaded when you reported this bug first, and that you had the following in your config at this time: Section "Extensions" Option "Composite" "Enable" EndSection Anything else I can do? Unless you can find out a difference the above config and your current working config (either an evil character hidden somewhere, or maybe some space/tab confusion, ...), I guess this bug will end up being closed as "works fine, don't understand why it did not in the beginning".
