The current code and packaging are in two bazaar branches:

  https://code.launchpad.net/~pitti/pmount/main (upstream trunk)
  https://code.launchpad.net/~ubuntu-core-dev/pmount/debian (debian packaging)

So you can start branching from that right now (bzr branch <url from
above>. If you just want to continue to keep the official branches on
Launchpad (to benefit from codebrowse, subscription, etc.), please
tell me so and create an LP account, then I'll hand the branches over
to you so that you can push to them, too.

You should start with gettting an overview about the code. I think it
is reasonably well structured and documented, and avoids nasty hacks.
I wrote the code as conservative as possible, prefering security and
defensiveness over optimizations.

If you have particular questions, feel free to mail me or ping me in
IRC (pitti in #debian-devel).
