The specific error that causes the build to fail is this: hotkey.c:89:19: error: asm/io.h: No such file or directory However, asm/io.h is contained in the linux-kernel-headers package, upon which libc6-dev depends. Of course, build-essential depends upon libc6-dev on i386. So, any functioning basic Debian build environment should have /usr/include/asm/io.h in it. Regards, -Roberto -- Roberto C.
