Either top or xfce4-taskmanager, looking at the RSS and VM sizes. It hasn't triggered today, but previous days I'll look at my memory usage after XFCE has been running for a while, and see that I don't have much free memory. A quick perusal with top or the task manager then reveals that xfdesktop4 and xfce4-menu-plugin are both topping out the memory consumption with 100's of MB each (usually xfdesktop4 is sitting at 17-18MB RSS). A little bit of testing here running `ps -F` with the xfdesktop4 PID indicates that its RSS usage grows each time I run `update-menus` (I notice the exhorbitant memory usage seemingly in conjunction with updating/installing software). - Michael -- Confused by the strange attachments?
