Seems to work ok so far.

Now, if I do 'ifconfig' prior to mounting proc (mistake on my part),
it just hangs.  My mistake, so maybe this is a minor bug, but it
shouldn't lock up.

Don't know how to debug the lockup, but will do so if I get some
advice.
