This is from a dual Athlon system. I did a big upgrade in testing (vs the last few days): libc, X, and much else changed. Restarted the system. Logged in and started packagesearch from the KDE menu.
It showed raw html. I closed it and restarted it in the same way. This time it showed properly formatted text. Maybe its relevant that a packagesearch was running when I first logged into my KDE session, since it was restored (though in the wrong window). I closed that one before the first launch described above.
