Oh, sorry, I knew I forgot something. This happened with totem (tried to play a file and crashed) and Opera (crashed due to the acrobat-reader-plugin, I think). I tested it with Sylpheed-Claws and other window managers like icewm and Enlightenment - they didn't crash. Additionally, "killall -9 metacity" resolves the problem when you connect remotely using SSH.
