If you can tell me which packages you're using that depend on just "php4", rather than "php4 | php4-cgi", bugs should be filed on those packages. For transitional reasons (php4 used to BE the apache module), bad things will happen if we allow the metapackage to depend on php4-cgi for Sarge (though, it will do so in unstable/testing immediately following the Sarge release). ...
