Initial suggestion: Display the logical interface name, as read
from /etc/network/ifstate or /etc/network/run/ifstate, instead of the
word "active" if the logical interface name is different from the
physical interface name.

If you want to support logical interfaces fully there has to be a
submenu for each physical interface showing the possible logical
interfaces as which it can be configured.
