I can reproduce these symptoms with the same version of fretsonfire-game. After experiencing the problem with the tiling WM ratpoison, I tried choosing "xfce session" from gdm, and reproduced the problem there. The entire screen changes to a dark red-brown color. The bottom-left pixel appears to change between red, yellow and green colors as I (presumably) navigate the invisible menus with the return, escape and arrow keys. Attached is my xorg.conf. I am using Debian/Sid on the amd64 architecture, with a Radeon 9000 GPU. -- Trent Buck
