The "use postscript queue" workaround still works with both.

Same problem here: printing from either mozilla-thunderbird or mozilla-firefox (through CUPS -> gimp-print to an Epson Stylus C44+ USB) is scaled 200% vertically (and only half the page is printed). (Horizontal scaling is correct, though.)
Printing from gimp -> gimp-print -> C44+ has no problems
Printing a test page (from gnome printer admin GUI) -> no problems
Printing from other apps -> CUPS -> gimp-print -> C44+ has no problems (openoffice.org and dia tested)
Workaround: printing to the "Postscript/C44UX" CUPS printer from T/bird or F/fox (ie CUPS -> ESP ghostscript -> gimp-print -> C44+) works correctly.
Versions: Debian Sarge (installed Sept 04 with some packages, including cups and mozilla-thunderbird 0.8-3 mozilla-firefox 1.0-2 cupsys 1.1.23-7 gimp-print 4.2.7-5 gs-esp 7.07.1-9
Will try updating to latest Sarge versions of T/bird and F/fox and see if that fixes it.
