You seem to have a good knowledge of this part of the system. Would you be interested to take over primary maintenance of acpi-support from me? You'd benefit from existing co-maintainers as well and I'd stay as co-maintainers too. I currently don't have the will nor the time to properly maintain that package. And there's a new upstream version waiting to be merged and a few bugs have accumulated over time (not that much though).
