Package: dovecot Severity: important After upgrading sarge->etch some users were unable to retrieve mail. I had to set in dovecot.conf: disable_plaintext_auth = no
Note that the sarge version of my dovecot.conf had the line: #disable_plaintext_auth = yes This suggests to me that the default in the sarge version had the option set to 'yes' (is this correct?). If this is the case then has the behaviour of this option changed between the sarge and etch versions? -- System Information: Debian Release: 4.0 APT prefers stable APT policy: (500, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.18-4-686 Locale: LANG=en_CA, LC_CTYPE=en_CA (charmap=ISO-8859-1) -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
