Just an FYI, the next verison of libsndfile has a snapshot of the FLAC sources included in the libsndfile sources. This was done partially to insulate libsndfile internals from FLAC API chanegs but more importantly to make libsndfile/FLAC easier to use on windows and MacOSX.
