Package: xscreensaver-gl Version: 4.24-5 Severity: normal Hi!
The screenhack named "glplanet" does not seem to be able to wrap images on the planet, when run on an Intel 965G integrated graphics chipset. It shows a uniformly colored sphere (with correct lighting), and no continents are shown: I tried two images from the package xplanet-images: /usr/share/xplanet/images/earth.jpg and /usr/share/xplanet/images/night.jpg . I get different colors for the sphere, as I switch from one image to the other, but I cannot see anything else (no oceans, no continents, ...). Another screenhack that does not work properly (maybe because of the same issue with textures, I don't know...) is "lament". The object is barely visible in normal mode; on the other hand, it becomes perfectly visible as soon as I disable textures (untextured and wireframe modes). Feel free to reassign to xserver-xorg-video-i810 (version 2:1.7.2-4), if the problem is to be blamed to the video drivers. -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.20-1-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages xscreensaver-gl depends on: ii libc6 2.3.6.ds1-13 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libgl1-mesa-glx [libgl1] 6.5.1-0.6 A free implementation of the OpenG ii libgle3 3.1.0-5.3 OpenGL tubing and extrusion librar ii libglib2.0-0 2.12.4-2 The GLib library of C routines ii libglu1-mesa [libglu1] 6.5.1-0.6 The OpenGL utility library (GLU) ii libgtk2.0-0 2.8.20-7 The GTK+ graphical user interface ii libice6 1:1.0.3-2 X11 Inter-Client Exchange library ii libsm6 1:1.0.2-2 X11 Session Management library ii libx11-6 2:1.0.3-7 X11 client-side library ii libxext6 1:1.0.1-2 X11 miscellaneous extension librar ii libxmu6 1:1.0.2-2 X11 miscellaneous utility library ii libxpm4 1:3.5.5-2 X11 pixmap library ii libxt6 1:1.0.5-2 X11 toolkit intrinsics library ii libxxf86vm1 1:1.0.1-2 X11 XFree86 video mode extension l Versions of packages xscreensaver-gl recommends: ii xscreensaver 4.24-5 Automatic screensaver for X -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
