As this has a significant amount of users in Etch, it's okay; but in any case needs to be fixed to link dynamically for Lenny.
I'll prepare a new gaim-otr package statically linked then, using what's in etch. What's the proper way to upload it? As for lenny (and thus pidgin-otr), as far as I understand the issue, it's a bug in libgcrypt, so there's not much pidgin-otr can do about it...
