Hi, I am currently searching for a possibility to tell libc to use a different resolv.conf file. This way you could use the tor server as DNS since tor seems to be able to handle some kind of DNS.
Removing the getpeername patch is no option for me. A fork would maybe not necessary, I will look into how to modify both patches to get both to work. If that is not going to work, feel free to fork the tsocks package.
