Current CVS version cannot play my sample audio file (ripped using cdda2wav)

Older sox (12.17.9-1 from Debian) plays it fine on both PPC and ia32.

Interestingly, if I append `-x' with the old version, it gives the same error
message as the new version. But appending `-x' with the new version doesn't
make the problem go away.

I think I see the problem, in wav.c. Please try again, I've committed code that should fix it.
