Package: openbox
Version: 3.3-2.1
Severity: normal

Hello,

thanks for packaging openbox.

I'm having a problem with applications such as gaim and gnome-terminal
that have multiple windows into which one can type.

I am running SCIM to be able to type various languages.

It happens often[1] that when I type normal letters they go to the
application that currently has the focus, while when I use the compose
key to compose some accented character, it ends up in another window
belonging to the same application.

If I try to type a language like Traditional Chinese where SCIM is
supposed to open a popup box next to the cursor, it shows up next to the
cursor in the wrong window.

Therefore it seems that openbox isn't notifying correctly to the input
method what is the window that currently has the focus.

Cheers,

Enrico

    behaviour
