Package: doc-base Version: 0.8.4 Severity: normal
doc-base 0.8.4 fails to install after finding a problem in file /usr/share/perl5/Debian/DocBase/DocBaseFile.pm Not sure whether the problem is with doc-base or perl, but it occurred both before and after uninstalling perl-doc in favour of perl-doc-html. Solved bug #278495 also involved perl, but I think this is a different problem. The apt install error is: lamorak:~# apt-get install doc-base Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree... Done doc-base is already the newest version. 0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded. 1 not fully installed or removed. Need to get 0B of archives. After unpacking 0B of additional disk space will be used. Setting up doc-base (0.8.4) ... I haven't touched the perl installation. Sorry if this is noise due to mismanagement of my system, otherwise tell me how I can help.
