Package: pure-ftpd Version: 1.0.21-8 Severity: normal When putting one of my IP addresses in /etc/pure-ftpd/conf/Bind, the init.d script shows: Restarting ftp server: Running: /usr/sbin/pure-ftpd -S 192.168.1.1 -B However the syslog shows: pure-ftpd: ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) [ERROR] Unable to start a standalone server: [Invalid argument]
The -S IPaddr should be the correct option... I've tried on 2 systems, it didn't work on either. Note they were both amd64. Yes, it's configured to run standalone :) thanks Paul Slootman -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers testing APT policy: (650, 'testing'), (625, 'stable'), (600, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.17-rc5 Locale: LANG=en_US, LC_CTYPE=en_US (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) (ignored: LC_ALL set to C) Versions of packages pure-ftpd depends on: ii libc6 2.3.6-13 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libcap1 1:1.10-14 support for getting/setting POSIX. ii libpam0g 0.79-3.1 Pluggable Authentication Modules l ii libssl0.9.8 0.9.8c-4 SSL shared libraries ii pure-ftpd-common 1.0.21-8 Pure-FTPd FTP server (Common Files pure-ftpd recommends no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
