Seems to be an obvious bug in the upstream release. One really shouldn't
do:

(p = strrchr(argv[0], '/')) ? p++ : argv[0];

which essentially means

if ()
        p++;
else
        ;

The assignment of arvg[0] to p is missing if no '/'s are found. Could basename() be used instead?
