Emacs went broken when I installed glibc 2.6 from experimental. emacs: malloc.c:2860: do_check_malloc_state: Assertion `p->fd_nextsize == ((void *)0) && p->bk_nextsize == ((void *)0)' failed. The same problem seems to exist in the emacs21 package. FYI: I compiled my own emacs which worked fine, except when I downgraded to glibc 2.5.
