  No, it's just a change in how --without-recommends is interpreted.
Technically, it's implemented by enabling Keep-Recommends at the
same time I disable Recommends-Important, so no new packages are
installed by recommendations, but installed packages that are
recommended by something stay on the system.  (incidentally, adding
"-o Aptitude::Keep-Recommends=true" to the command-line as a workaround
for older aptitudes and should have the same effect)
