After "apt-get --purge remove"ing acpi-support, I still managed to get this to happen again. It doesn't happen every time I suspend/resume; in this case, I had several successful suspend/resume cycles before this: - System running on battery, logged in to KDE - Close lid, system suspends - Remove AC adapter - System resumes - Session lost I'm not that familiar with the acpid/hal/kpowersave layers, so at this point I'd really appreciate some pointers for collecting additional data to debug this.
