Package: pbuilder Version: 0.161 Severity: wishlist One of the nice features of debuild is that it automatically creates a build log for every build named *.build (where the rest of the file name follows the conventions for the changes file and other generated files). pdebuild supports a --logfile option, but it's not the same thing and isn't as useful since it suppresses normal output. I want to see the normal build output *and* save it in a file.
I can do this with wrappers around pdebuild (or the commands that are running pdebuild), but it would be more convenient if there was some way to always get the same behavior as debuild. I don't think there's a need to ever *not* create a build log; it's simple to delete if it's not of interest. -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (990, 'testing'), (500, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.18-4-686 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages pbuilder depends on: ii cdebootstrap 0.3.15 Bootstrap a Debian system ii coreutils 5.97-5.3 The GNU core utilities ii debianutils 2.18 Miscellaneous utilities specific t ii debootstrap 0.3.3.3 Bootstrap a basic Debian system ii gcc 4:4.1.1-15 The GNU C compiler ii wget 1.10.2-2 retrieves files from the web Versions of packages pbuilder recommends: pn cowdancer <none> (no description available) ii devscripts 2.10.2 Scripts to make the life of a Debi ii fakeroot 1.6.5 Gives a fake root environment ii sudo 1.6.8p12-5 Provide limited super user privile -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
