That is not the point Martin was making. I understand his point to be that 
the kernel _will_ eventually switch to using gcc-4.2 and that these 
issues should be fixed before that time.

To be honest, I don't see what is wrong with having a (non-RC!) bug open 
against the kernel to track such issues. I really feel that you are wrong 
in closing this BR Bastian.
