Package: gimp
Version: 2.2.13-1
Severity: important

Attempting to open a jpg file created on an Olympus Stylus 770SW (and
possibly other cameras), even after resizing with other utilities (e.g.:
ImageMagick) fails with message:

    Opening '<file>' failed: Plug-In could not open image

'file' reports file as:

    $ file p5120068.jpg
    p5120068.jpg: JPEG image data, JFIF standard 1.01

Identify reports file as:

    $ identify p5120068.jpg
    p5120068.jpg JPEG 192x144 DirectClass 22kb

This is a possible dupe of bug #383782, "gimp: fails to load jpeg-image
with exif-data" which could not be reproduced and will be archived
shortly.

Debugging instructions suggest installing gimp-dbg, however this package
conflicts on my system.

I'll attempt to post a copy of an offending JPG or link to same shortly.
