Package: epiphany-browser Version: 2.18.1-2 Severity: important Hi,
When saving a page to disk with epiphany, the browser hangs and starts writing a huge file filled with . I can save the same page with iceweasel without problem. This is reproducible easily (nearly 100%) with big pages (an example is http://lwn.net/Articles/231896/bigpage ). The beginning of the output file is normal, but then something breaks. With the URL above: Church of the Subgenius, with its slogan [....] This also happens with version 2.14.3-6. While discussing how cool epiphany is with a friend, he mentionned this bug, so it's clearly not a problem with my laptop (bad memory, etc). Killing epiphany with -9 allows to restore the situation. However, if the user waits to long before killing epiphany, epiphany's memory usage grows and kills your system.
