Correct, except for /var/lib/clamav. I corrected that now.
I just want to be clear - the original report said it does not run after
a fresh install, which is clearly not where we are now, so I want to
make sure I get a good sense of what's happening.
Correct, on the 1st try it did not start 'out of the box'. On the 2nd try it
did.
Are there are any log messages, either in syslog or clamav.log? If not,
set LogSyslog and LogVerbose in clamd.conf, and then start the milter
again - that should give you something at least.
Hmm... stopping clamav-milter with the init script did not work, I still saw
one clamav-milter process and killed it manually. I then started all new
(clamd, freshclam, milter).
