Certainly; you'll hear no argument from me. :-) > The patch already in the BTS for raising the size of the percpu storage is > much cleaner, but it hasn't been applied to the Debian kernels yet because > so many of the modules that fail to load because of percpu also fail with > the percpu fix because of relocation problems that I don't have a handle > on. But ISTR that it did fix the ipv6 module in particular, so it might > be worth trying for you? Yes, I had tried the percpu patch and it did fix the ipv6 module. The kludge from my last post also applies it, since it doesn't hurt anything and might fix other modules whose brokenness hasn't been noticed. Unfortunately, as you mention, the netfilter modules can't be loaded due to relocation errors unrelated to the percpu problem. So while I was packing the 0000 shot, I figured I'd just build ipv6 staticly and be done with it. john -- John Morrissey _o /\ ---- __o [EMAIL PROTECTED] _-< \_ / \ ---- < \, www.horde.net/ __(_)/_(_)________/ \_______(_) /_(_)__ -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
