mrxvt-full does read $HOME/.mrxvtrc, except that it expects the resource name be the same as the binary name, e.g. mrxvt-full. On the other hand, /usr/bin/mrxvt symbolic link should use the mrxvt resource names in .mrxvtrc. Regards, Qingning
