Greg,
I agree that this is a lot over over-kill. Atomic
Tanks has a bad habit of thrashing the CPU,
especially on the buying screen and Help & Credits
screens.
I am testing some fixes which should appear in
2.4. This won't completely remove the problem,
but I hope to get the CPU usage under 10%.
(Note: I hope to release 2.4 sometime during the
summer.)
