1. The nis dependant portion of the autofs startup can be taken out of
the script and put at 21. It can check for NIS running and start only if
NIS is enabled.

2. There seems to be a bug somewhere in the NIS portion of script
themselves as well.

After a failed startup, if auto.master is fed from nis (or augmented
from nis),  manual /etc/init.d/autofs restarts fail to create
mountpoints for all maps from nis. If these are created manually the
script succeeds, only for the mountpoints to disappear on "stop" which
makes the next boot fail again. Quite annoying actually.
