My "Xorg/Etch" basically meant Xorg 7.1 with Xserver 2:1.1.1-21 and MGA driver 1:1.4.4.dfsg.1-2. Xorg 7.2 is now mostly in unstable, with many updates from upstream including xserver-xorg-core 2:1.3.0.0.dfsg-3 and xserver-xorg-video-mga 1:1.4.6.1.dfsg.1-2. You might want to try it since it contains a couple fixes. If the bug still occurs with these uptodate packages, we'll have to forward your bug to the upstream bugzilla. Note that you will have to upgrade to libc 2.5 to install these packages from unstable. If this is a problem, you might want to try rebuilding xserver-xorg-video-mga 1:1.4.6.1.dfsg.1-2 for Etch first.
