I intended to preserve the "Skip the EPS without handling its content" logic, because I didn't know what problem it fixes. Your patch would have called readline() recursively via the SKIP_UNTIL_1() macro and then parsed also the contents of the EPS (but I think it would have handled triply nested ps files correctly).
