I can confirm: the combined patches work for kernel 2.6.18-4-686 on T42p. They are far from being ideal, e.g. the module superio doesn't get loaded at all: FATAL: Error inserting superio (/lib/modules/2.6.18-4-686/thinkpad/superio.ko): Unknown error 1025 But they are better than nothing (which is the current state). I've created my own package at http://www.angelfire.com/un/sasha/thinkpad-source_5.9-2.2_i386.deb I cannot maintain the package myself, but I would be glad if anyone would upload it into the official debian unstable or experimental archive so that a larger community can appreciate it.
