But the peer1 mirror present in the list is not it all in the same
network .. (in 64.34.8.x)

Does netselect-apt resolve, then reverse-resolve dns entries ??

For the moment, automatic mirror checks are done, but the output of
these checks at http://www.de.debian.org/dmc/today/ are not
automatically exploited yet.
So out of work or date mirrors may be present in the list.
