It is. What is currently in the amd driver is being merged by
contributors into nsc, to offer a unified support for the whole Geode
product line. The level of modularization is similar to the Geode
section in the kernel framebuffer driver.
By the way, the output of
/usr/share/bug/xserver-xorg-core/script 3>&1
might be needed in the future. Posting it here (or on upstream bugzilla
:)) might be good.
