<pre> for preserve

I create a post and type the above into the entry field and click on the
"publish" button.  When I view the post I see the "<pre>" text in the body
of the post.

Then I choose to edit the draft and I see the above.  When I view the post I
don't see the text "<pre>", I instead see a monospace font indicating that the
<PRE> tag has been interpreted by the browser.

So re-editing a post that has correctly quoted HTML tags (necessary when you
are blogging about web-programming) will remove the quoting and break
everything.
