Hi,

It seems this bug has been fixed in libxine1_1.1.6, although
additional work has to be done before using.

A purge installation of libxine1 cannot play Real format files; a
'cannot find codec' error will be reported by xine-based application,
say, Totem-xine. The path to Real Codecs must be explicitly set in
xine config file.

Let's take Totem-xine for example. Users have to uncomment the line
containing `decoder.external.real_codecs_path', and set it to a valid
path where Real Codecs can be found in ~/.gnome2/totem_config. If
w32codecs package has been installed, the setting:
decoder.external.real_codecs_path:/usr/lib/codecs
will be okay.

Furthermore, in the upstream changelog file of libxine1, it is mentioned that
``Also add two new configure option, one to enable or disable
building of Real binary
support altogether and one to choose the path where to look for the codecs
by default (it can, and probably should) be different from the Win32
  codecs path''
I'm not sure whether the upstream developers here point to this problem.

Thank you very much.
