I bitch at them constantly for adding new errors that imho are too
strict.  Recently, a bunch of warnings got translated to errors (e.g.
missing newline, definition of a #define) and I raised this issue, and
hopefully this will be reverted again.

The current bug (extra ;) was not part of the reason warnings->error
conversion mentioned above (which I hope will be reverted), so I
assumed there was a purpose in this change.  However, I didn't check
who made that change or why it was made.

If you want I can try to get clarification whether this was
intentional.
