Package: sensors-applet Version: 1.7.10+dfsg-1 Severity: minor Hello.
When using lm-sensors, sensors-applet seems to use /etc/sensors.conf, but does not behave as the 'sensor' command. When a 'compute' rule uses a decimal number, it truncates it instead of using its real value. When values are defined as fractions, there is no problem. Example : I have a sensor, called temp1, that gives a raw value of 57 degrees. With a 'decimal' rule like compute temp1 (1.4893 * @ - 15.096), (@ + 15.096) / 1.4893 the 'sensors' commande reports a computed value of 70, while sensor-applet reports 42 (= 1 * @ - 15). Whith a 'fractional' rule like compute temp1 ((14893/10000)[EMAIL PROTECTED]), (@/(14893/10000)+15.096) both report 70 degrees. -- System Information: Debian Release: 4.0 APT prefers stable APT policy: (500, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.18-4-k7 Locale: LANG=fr_FR.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=fr_FR.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Versions of packages sensors-applet depends on: ii libc6 2.3.6.ds1-13 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libcairo2 1.2.4-4 The Cairo 2D vector graphics libra ii libgconf2-4 2.16.1-1 GNOME configuration database syste ii libglib2.0-0 2.12.4-2 The GLib library of C routines ii libgnome2-0 2.16.0-2 The GNOME 2 library - runtime file ii libgnomeui-0 2.14.1-2 The GNOME 2 libraries (User Interf ii libgtk2.0-0 2.8.20-7 The GTK+ graphical user interface ii libnotify1 0.4.3-1 sends desktop notifications to a n ii libpanel-applet2-0 2.14.3-5 library for GNOME 2 panel applets ii libsensors3 1:2.10.1-3 library to read temperature/voltag sensors-applet recommends no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
