Package: sensors-applet
Version: 1.7.10+dfsg-1
Severity: minor

Hello.

When using lm-sensors, sensors-applet seems to use /etc/sensors.conf, but does
not behave as the 'sensor' command. When a 'compute' rule uses a decimal
number, it truncates it instead of using its real value.
When values are defined as fractions, there is no problem.

Example : I have a sensor, called temp1, that gives a raw value of 57 degrees.
With a 'decimal' rule like
 compute temp1 (1.4893 * @ - 15.096), (@ + 15.096) / 1.4893
the 'sensors' commande reports a computed value of 70,
while sensor-applet reports 42 (= 1 * @ - 15).
Whith a 'fractional' rule like
 compute temp1 ((14893/10000)[EMAIL PROTECTED]), (@/(14893/10000)+15.096)
both report 70 degrees.
