Modify Properties? I guess you mean 'Edit Album Properties...'

when I change the date in the widget below the calendar,
e.g., 3.5.2005 -> 3.4.1978 and press <return> it works.
Ditto when I use the '<', '<<' ... buttons above the
calendar widget. [Reopen the properties dialog shows the
new date]

when I use the widget below the calandar widget to enter
the date manually then lick on okay or <tab> then okay, the
date is not changed. [reopen the properties dialog show the
old date. new one was not saved.] Is this the method you
use to change the date of the folder?

  To me vi is Zen. To use vi is to practice zen. Every command is
  a koan. Profound to the user, unintelligible to the uninitiated.
  You discover truth everytime you use it.
