| Hi,
|
| I've prepared a new upstream release of graphviz, and I resplitted the
| package properly in several ones:
| graphviz: commandline tools
| libgraphviz3: shared libraries
| libgraphviz3-dev: devel files
| libgv-*: language bindings (perl and tcl only at the moment)

Super!! Graphviz has long been in need of some serious love and
attention. Thanks for stepping forward!

| Source package[1] as well as i386 binaries[2] are available on my
| webspace while the package is in NEW.

| 1. http://kibi.sysif.net/pub/packages/graphviz-2.12/graphviz_2.12-1.dsc
| 2. http://kibi.sysif.net/pub/packages/graphviz-2.12/
|
| The main points here are:
|  - the SONAME bump (2 to 3);
| - the graphviz/libgraphvizN(|-dev) split.
|
| I kept graphviz-dev as a dummy package depending on libgraphviz3-dev, so
| as to ensure a smooth transition.
|
| So please update your Build-Depends and maybe your Depends as well. If
| you are using commandline tools, you'll have to add it manually since
| only libgraphviz3 will be added to shlibs:Depends by now.
|
| At least, rebuilding your package with s/graphviz-dev/libgraphviz3-dev/
| is OK.

I'll try that. Word is that a new ggobi may be imminent (but that was the
word for a few months now) so maybe I'll repackage the existing 2.1.4 package
first just to see.

Thanks, Dirk
